Almost 1,700 new COVID cases and 44 more deaths reported in Arkansas

Little Rock, Arkansas – Arkansas reported 1,685 new COVID cases, and 44 more deaths, on Tuesday, Feb. 15.
Arkansas reached record-high hospitalizations at 1,819 during the peak of the omicron variant. But those numbers continue to decline as well as active cases.
The state has officially surpassed more than 10,000 deaths as a result of the virus as of Saturday.
A total of 10,141 people have died in Arkansas due to the virus and over 1.55 million have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

• Total cases: 809,396 (+1,685)
• Active cases: 14,552 (-1,727)
• Total deaths: 10,141 (+44)
• Hospitalized: 1,050 (-32)
• On ventilators: 157 (-8)
• Fully vaccinated: 1,558,916 (+1,366)
“We continue to see key metrics like new and active cases and hospitalizations decline. Regrettably, we are still seeing a high number of deaths, and over 81% of COVID deaths have been unvaccinated. It’s critical we all get vaccinated,” Gov. Hutchinson tweeted on Tuesday.
