Bruce Tate’s family demands justice during a tearful press conference
Little Rock, Arkansas – The family of Bruce Tate, a Sherwood man who was discovered dead in North Little Rock early last week after several injuries, was given a press conference by Arkansas Stop the Violence on Sunday night.
In this case, a suspect has not yet been named.
To send a message to whoever caused Bruce Tate’s death and anyone who knows what happened, his family members met at Shiloh Baptist Church in North Little Rock.
“If this were your family, you would want it resolved as well, and that is all we are requesting.
Courtney Tate remarked, “You know, we’re asking for justice for our father.”
Bruce Tate, 78, was well-known for his kindness and devotion to his neighborhood.
“I had a wonderful father. He kept us laughing. The person who took him away from us will never comprehend how this has affected me because I was a daddy’s girl,” Reshonda Tate, the daughter, stated.
“I regret not having the chance to say all the things I would have liked to say to him when he was still living. “My dad was adored,” Courtney remarked.
Violence claimed the life of Bruce Tate, leaving his family inconsolable.
You’re making a valiant effort to make sense. It’s the reason we don’t understand. Why? Who? There are a lot of unresolved questions. Because he would have given you his wallet if you had asked for it. He would have given you his truck if you had asked for it. He didn’t need to be brutally murdered. That’s why we’re here today, in the middle of our sorrow, trying to reach out to the people of Arkansas, which we call home,” Reshonda stated.
Arkansas Stop the Violence assisted Bruce’s wife and family in addressing the public, pleading for assistance in identifying the culprit, despite the fact that the North Little Rock Police Department had launched an investigation.
“Our family today, our family at random, is harmed and destroyed by the snitch culture.
Therefore, it might be your family tomorrow. It might be a loved one’s family. Because I doubt this will be the last time they take someone’s loved one away, we’re pleading with people to come forward,” Reshonda added.
The family claims that although they will always mourn a part of themselves, their top priority right now is closure.
“The man that they took from us is a father, grandfather, a just wonderful man, and this is a void that we are going to have for a very long time,” Reshonda stated.
We are able to comprehend that this was not an accident, even yet it was at least an accident.
Bloody deliberate murder was what this was. Furthermore, this was overkill, not just murder.
This was really over the top. The one who committed this is not worthy of receiving another breath of fresh air,” Courtney remarked.
The memorial service for Bruce Tate is scheduled for next weekend.
The probe is still going on. Please call the NLRPD tip line at 501-680-8439 if you have any information.
