Closure of Highway 37 planned close to Tuckerman
Jackson County, Arkansas – It is necessary to arrange a detour for anyone traversing a segment of Highway 37 in the vicinity of Tuckerman.
The Arkansas Department of Transportation announced on Friday that Highway 37 (Elgin Road) in the Tuckerman area would be closed starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, September 9, and being closed nonstop through Monday, September 23.
In order to repair a bridge, workers will close Highway 37 between Highway 17 and Highway 367, weather permitting. Only local traffic will be allowed to use Highway 37.
There will be clearly marked detours utilizing Highways 367, 157 (Tucker Road), and 17 (West Main Street).
Signage, message boards, and barricades will be used to regulate traffic.
