Finally, some relief Arkansas added just above 200 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, number of active cases drops

Arkansas – The number of active Covid-19 cases in Arkansas has been going up for a few days, but on Sunday, the Arkansas Department of Health finally reported lower number of new daily positive cases resulting with drop in the total number of cases.
According to the daily report, Arkansas reported 218 new positive cases on Sunday. With the most recent numbers, the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic is now 538,462.
In the same report, ADH reported 8 additional Covid-19 related deaths. With the latest data included, the total number of Covid-19 reported deaths since the start of the pandemic now reaches 8,848.
The number of active cases has finally decreased and there are a total of 8,085 active cases throughout the state.
There is slight increase in the number of hospitalizations (486), which is 11 more compared to Saturday’s report. There is no change in the number of people on ventilator support (108).
In the last 24 hours, 5,414 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines were administrated across Arkansas. The total number of doses given since the vaccines’ roll out is 3,549,069.
