Friends discover dead animals in Vilonia at the side of the road
Vilonia, Arkansas – Karalena McCurry’s routine trip to the supermarket last week took an unusual turn when she noticed four black garbage bags by the side of the road.
“I had the intuition to stop when I saw them, but I didn’t have the heart to do it,” McCurry remarked.
She stopped because she had a gut feeling that something wasn’t right.
According to McCurry, “I got out of the car and put my foot on the bag to check if it was trash. It was hard, so when I reached down and opened the bag, it was a mama dog.”
When she discovered another dog dead, it wasn’t the last one she had hoped to find.
“I saw two more, too. “I stopped to check those, and those two were puppies,” McCurry remarked. “I noticed the fifth dog when my fiancé got home from work.”
McCurry received a call from a friend just when she felt things couldn’t get any worse after finding five dead dogs on the side of the road.
“They found a goat,” McCurry remarked when Maria reached him the following morning.
All of this took place in Vilonia on Beryl Road. According to Rebecca Laflamme, the circumstance left her feeling quite nauseous.
Laflamme stated, “We don’t want to see it.”
Laflamme, a dog rescuer, thinks that if Faulkner County had an animal shelter, this might not have occurred.
Laflamme stated, “I’ve picked up dump dogs on the side of the road, and we’ve kind of just been left to deal with the situation on our own and privately.”
In response, Faulkner County stated that the animal shelter is almost finished and that they have been making headway with the inside setup.
The county also reacted to the reports on the animals, stating that they are still looking into the matter even though nothing was discovered when the cops arrived.
