Locals support local businesses by shopping
Jonesboro, Arkansas – On Saturday, individuals throughout Region 8 flocked to local shops to show their support for small businesses.
On Small Business Saturday, local businesses on Gee Street came together to create an engaging activity known as the Gee Street Passport.
Individuals had the opportunity to enter the businesses, receive passport stamps, and subsequently be entered into a raffle drawing.
Jackson Spencer, the General Manager of Native Brew Works, emphasized the significance of supporting local businesses in fostering the community’s culture.
“Supporting small local businesses is of utmost importance.” “They are the individuals who shape the essence of a community,” he stated. “While the major chains maintain a uniform presence in every town, it’s the unique local mom-and-pop shops that truly define the character and charm of each community.”
Six businesses participated in the event: Native Brew Works, Gee Street Kitchen, Verb Bookstore, La Fogata, Boo & Finni Clay Center, and Open Studio.
