More than $3.5 million in project money will be distributed to three cities in Northeast Arkansas
Little Rock, Arkansas – A few cities in Northeast Arkansas will receive more funding to make improvements to their neighborhoods.
The Delta Regional Authority said Monday, Oct. 28, that it will invest over $5 million in four projects in Arkansas, according to Talk Business and Politics. Northeast Arkansas is home to three of those.
The following people are among the recipients: Pocahontas: $1.9 million for improvements that will supply enough water services and capacity for present and future residential and economic expansion.
The transportation project, which will extend an existing rail spur to a local firm that has committed to creating 20 jobs as a result of this infrastructure investment, is worth $872,600.
The city’s water infrastructure will be renovated using Trumann’s $762,000 investment to guarantee that current residents and companies will always have access to drinkable water while also assuring that the system can accommodate future residential and commercial expansion.
This follows the announcement on October 15 that the DRA will provide approximately $1.4 million in funding for three additional projects in Northeast Arkansas.
