Santa delivers with this year’s Christmas tree crop
Pulaski County, Arkansas – Motley’s Tree Farm in Little Rock is home to thousands of trees, all set to be harvested to bring a touch of brightness to homes this season.
“For 42 years, we have been engaged in the business of Christmas tree farming.” “It’s wonderful to witness the continuation of this tradition, as parents who visited as children are now bringing their own little ones,” said Mike Motley, co-owner of Motley’s Tree Farm.
Motley remarked that even with a dry fall, this year’s harvest feels like a present from Santa Claus, himself. He mentioned that a wet spring contributed positively as well.
All the trees are in excellent health. They have experienced significant growth. “We aim for them to thrive quickly, appear attractive, and maintain a vibrant green color, and they are achieving all of that,” stated Motley.
Motley mentioned that their farm cultivates three varieties of trees: Leyland Cyprus, Carolina Sapphire, and Murray X. He mentioned that they are all hybrids and excellent for individuals with allergies.
Motley stated that all three types of these trees are hybrids, possessing no pollen and minimal sap, making them a non-allergenic option.
Motley contended that natural trees surpass artificial ones. He stated that artificial trees will ultimately be discarded in a landfill, while shopping locally bolsters the economy.
“We believe a genuine tree is a logical choice, pun intended.” “They also have a pleasant aroma,” Motley remarked.
Whether genuine or not, the essence of Christmas comes to life as soon as it fills your home!
