Saturday Hot Springs shooting incident, no suspect arrested

Little Rock, Arkansas – After two people died in a Saturday morning shooting incident, the Garland County Sheriff’s Office and Investigators from the Arkansas State Police were investigating.
Garland deputies responded to a call at around 10:22 a.m. from a female who stated she had been shot at 103 Coppertop Trail Unit A in Hot Springs, according to authorities.
Upon arrival at the scene, Garland County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies and Investigators with the Arkansas State Police found two deceased individuals, Genevieve Johnson,43, and Cory Cox, 27 inside of the home.
A 30-year-old, Alexis Cox, a third individual, was also located and transported to a local hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds.
According to officials, one person was detained for questioning but was later released.
The situation is still under investigation.
