The city opens new playgrounds and bike lanes
Little Rock, Arkansas – Following renovations to one of Little Rock’s oldest parks, municipal leaders were in town for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“We’re always working to listen to the community and we’re grateful to make the promise but to keep the promise,” Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. stated during the celebration of the ribbon cutting.
“But I also want to share with the community, that this happened because voters said yes to a property tax millage, and our team worked with the state and federal grants to bring this to fruition.”
The event took place in Boyle Park, one of the city’s largest and most historic parks, and Channel Seven was present.
More than two miles of brand-new mountain biking trails, a cycling skills park, and playground upgrades were among the newly added and renovated features.
These were made to be accessible to children of all ages and skill levels.
The Outdoor Recreation Grant enabled the renovation as part of a larger investment in the city’s top-notch park experiences.
