The University of Central Arkansas has unveiled a one-stop Community Care Clinic and rebranded itself
Little Rock, Arkansas – With the opening of its Community Care Clinic, the University of Central Arkansas is rebranding its healthcare offerings.
The clinic takes great satisfaction in offering whole-person care services to Conway area residents who are in need.
“Really absorbing all facets of wellness or medical treatment that an individual requires, rather than requiring them to visit a different doctor, PT, or nutritionist. Associate Dean for Inter-professional Education and Community Engagement at UCA, Chad Lairamore, remarked, “We’re your one-stop shop.”
UCA is offering one facility through their new clinic where experts may identify problems and offer several remedies.
“With that, we have family practice with our nurse practitioners, physical therapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, mental health, and peer support,” added Lairamore.
Over the past several years, they have been refining this approach.
Additionally, UCA sees its new clinic as a chance to instruct students.
“We want to train future healthcare providers in what we think is the ideal method to give healthcare and wellness care, and we’re also using this for that purpose. That’s by using the patient’s perspective and considering the individual as a whole rather than just the diagnosis, Lairamore added.
Reaching as many community members as possible is currently the clinic’s primary objective.
“It’s what really drives us and gets us out of bed in the morning and gets us excited is being able to help people and being able to reach out to folks in need and really hopefully change healthcare and the way things are done,” Lairamore said.
The Community Care Clinic claims that because they take all insurance and offer payment plans, they are choosing not to turn away people.
The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with plans to extend their hours in the future.
