ARDOT will begin construction of the XNA Connector and Springdale Bypass

Little Rock, Arkansas – Next Wednesday, April 17, is scheduled to be the groundbreaking ceremony for the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).

Phase Two of the Springdale Bypass and the Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) Connector will both have their work commence with the groundbreaking.

The Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) Connector is planned to be a four-lane highway that will cross the 4-mile distance between XNA and the Springdale Bypass.

Eleven bridges, an interchange, and a tie-in to Highway 264 are all planned. It is planned for the multi-lane interstate to be finished in 2027.

The second phase of the Springdale Bypass is planned to be a divided seven-mile highway with four lanes. From Highway 412 near Tontitown to the Springdale Bypass at Highway 112 in Washington and Benton Counties, it will contain interchanges at specific places.

It is the fourth phase of a project that is anticipated to be finished in 2026.

The event is open to the public as well as local leaders, the Arkansas Highway Commission, and representatives of ARDOT.

It is scheduled to start in the XNA Short-Term Parking Lot at 11 a.m.
