Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Arkansas Children’s Hospital Pine Bluff, a key part of the Arkansas Children’s network, is making significant strides in pediatric healthcare, ensuring that children in the area receive top-notch medical attention. The clinic, which works in close association with Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC), is dedicated to building strong patient-doctor relationships and offering a comprehensive range of pediatric services.

Emphasis on Consistent Care and Expertise

The clinic is staffed by a team of experienced professionals, including three physicians and a certified nurse practitioner. In 2022, they managed 14,123 on-site visits alongside 121 telehealth appointments, indicating their adaptability and commitment to accessible healthcare. One of the key strengths of the clinic is its emphasis on consistent patient care. Dr. Sade Francois, a general pediatrician at the clinic, highlights that patients usually see the same doctor, ensuring continuity and a deeper understanding of each child’s health history, unless there’s a specific need for a different physician’s expertise.

Dr. Francois, a Canadian native, joined Arkansas Children’s in 2021. Her impressive background includes a medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and a pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois. Beyond her role in Pine Bluff, she also contributes to the Arkansas Children’s After-Hours Clinic in Little Rock and the JRMC nursery. As a part-time professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Francois remains at the forefront of pediatric care through continuous learning and participation in professional conferences.

Comprehensive Services and Seasonal Health Focus

The ACH Pine Bluff clinic provides an array of services including wellness exams, minor illness treatments, vaccinations, developmental testing, and health education. This comprehensive approach ensures that children receive care tailored to their individual needs.

A significant part of the clinic’s work involves treating viral infections, especially upper respiratory infections in children, which can lead to more serious complications. The clinic’s responsibility lies in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of these conditions. During the fall season, there’s a heightened focus on respiratory illnesses such as flu, RSV, and COVID-19. Dr. Francois emphasizes the importance of hand hygiene as a crucial preventive measure against these diseases, underlining the clinic’s commitment to both treatment and prevention in pediatric healthcare.

This focus on quality care, continuous learning, and a wide range of services positions the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Pine Bluff clinic as a vital healthcare resource for children in Arkansas, reflecting their dedication to nurturing healthy futures for young patients.
