On-duty Arkansas officer dies in single-vehicle crash after suffering medical emergency

Earle, Arkansas – The small town of Earle, Arkansas, is mourning the loss of one of its police officers. Officer Kaylen Jacobs tragically passed away following a serious crash on the evening of November 22. The news has sent shockwaves through the community and beyond.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:05 p.m. on Highway 118. Crittenden County deputies were the first responders to the accident site. They discovered Officer Jacobs’ patrol vehicle by the side of the road. Upon finding him unresponsive inside the vehicle, they immediately attempted to provide medical assistance. Sadly, despite their efforts and the subsequent arrival of Crittenden County EMS, Officer Jacobs was found to be not breathing and without a pulse.

Jacobs was then rushed to the Baptist Memorial Hospital in a critical condition. It was there that he succumbed to his injuries. The cause of the crash, according to officials, was a major medical emergency Officer Jacobs experienced while driving, leading to his vehicle veering off the road.
