Pine Bluff police investigate after deadly apartment complex shooting
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Pine Bluff has become the scene of yet another violent act. In the early hours of Wednesday, a 21-year-old man was fatally shot at the St. John Apartments on East 26th Street. The Pine Bluff Police Department reported that the distress call came just after 1 a.m., sending officers to the apartment complex where they discovered Cedric Hawkins with gunshot wounds in the parking lot.

Despite the swift response of law enforcement, Hawkins’s injuries were fatal; he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County coroner. As the community reels from this loss, police have yet to identify any suspects involved in the incident.
