Pine Bluff police searching for suspect in Monday night homicide
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Pine Bluff police have intensified their search following a tragic shooting incident on Monday night. The incident, which resulted in the death of a woman and left a man injured, took place on Grider Field Ladd Road. The authorities have now identified the prime suspect and are urging the public to assist in locating him.
The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Matthew Alan Ferry, has been directly linked to the deadly event. Upon responding to the scene after receiving alerts about the shooting, officers found a man and woman with gunshot wounds. While the man was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, the woman unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. The Pine Bluff Police Department is withholding the woman’s identity at the moment.
Ferry is described as being approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and has brown eyes. The latest information available to the police places him as a resident in the 2000 block of West 5th Street in Pine Bluff. They have also identified a vehicle associated with Ferry—a dark red Dodge Charger bearing the Arkansas license plate AMY 36S.
Considering the violent nature of the crime, Ferry is deemed armed and potentially dangerous. Authorities are strongly advising anyone with information regarding his location to come forward.
